to view or extract the data in a PIE-file and carry out basic analysis calculations
The "PIE Reader" application is used to open and view the data stored in a PIE-file (which is usually a file-name ending in ".pie"). A PIE-file is used to store everything for the analysis of a well; multiple sets of analysis-data, multiple sets of raw data measurements, all analysis results, and saved analysis plots. This data can be viewed in the PIE Reader, and the display can be copied from PIE and then pasted into another application. There is also an option under the "File" menu that will export all the data in a PIE-file to an "XML" spreadsheet format that can be read by EXCEL®.
In addition, the "PIE Reader" allows you to carry out basic well-test analysis work on a wide range of analysis plots including the derivative plot, the superposition plot, the Horner plot, and many others. One or more straight-lines can be placed on the analysis plots in order to obtain estimates for permeability, skin, extrapolated pressure, hydraulic-fracture length, and many other results.
If you want to use the "PIE Reader" application, please read the following terms, then click on the "I Accept" button below to download a Windows Installer "MSI" file for the application. After saving this file to your computer, double-click on it to start the installation process and follow the instructions. No serial-number is needed.
